Typical view of one of our houses - Villa Asteria (meaning 'stars' in Greek) with the large pool and patio area bordered by oleander and palm trees. Behind, you can see the 4.5 acres of olive grove. Location is just outside of the village, quiet but not isolated, conveniently close to shops, beach and of course restaurants.

Patio view of Villa Helios (which means 'sun' in Greek). This shows the patio and pool area. The white patio doors lead to the kitchen and living room so it is very easy to prepare meals and bring them outside for 'al fresco' dining under the shade of the large pergola.
This photo also shows the parking area and gated entrance (left of picture). It was taken last year (2006) and the pergola is now covered with canvas webbing to provide extra shade.

All villas have a similar terrace and patio shown in this photo. This is a typical view you would see while dining on the terrace. Our olive trees are mature - we have about 100 - and in a good year they will make about 300 litres of the highest quality extra-virgin olive oil. Harvest is every January. Did you know that Cretan olive oil is the finest in the world? It is recognisd by independent experts as the best in Greece and far superior to Spanish or Italian.
Tip: don't eat raw olives from the trees...they are extremely bitter!

Our team of gardeners and pool cleaners take a well-earned break!
Your private pool will normally be serviced several times a week to ensure it is clean and pleasant to use at all times.

Your Private Pool - a major feature of your holiday. Each pool is 9 metres x 4 metres and has a constant depth of 1.3 metres. (This is to comply with Greek Tourist Board regulations). There is no deep end for children to get into trouble in, and this makes it ideal for playing water games etc.
There are 8 sun longers for each pool so plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The pool is in full sun most of the day and has a usual summertime temperature of 28 degrees centigrade. Olive trees provide some extra shade.

(Yes, even if there are only two guests, you will still enjoy two bathrooms!)

All bedrooms are either double, as in this photo, or twin. Every bedroom has a fitted wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps - and most have large mirrors.
Note the doorway to the large balcony. All bedrooms have balconies and stunning views across open country towards the majestic White Mountains. Some bedrooms have sea views.
(technical note: please excuse the distortion on this photo as it was taken with a wide angle lens!)

Inside Villa Helios. Behind the sofa is a dining table (seating up to 8) and stairs to the upstairs bedrooms. Angelos also has a downstairs bedroom next to a wc/shower-room which is useful for people with limited mobility.
NOTE: all villas are spacious so you don't have to use pull-out or camp beds. Everyone in your group can have a proper bed and bedroom.
The living room opens out directly onto the sunny patio via sliding glass doors.

Villa Angelos viewed from the road showing imposing iron gates which are illuminated at night. Far right of the photo is Villa Helios - this shows the relative distance between houses! There is lots of space - quite unique in Crete - you will not be overlooked!
This quiet country road is the 'old' road between Almirida and Gavalochori towards Xerosterni. If you know the area, do not confuse with the main road which goes through the village of Aspro!
